Litigious processes are generally time-consuming and protracted. To ensure that the momentum gained during the investigative process is maintained, we provide extensive support to facilitate the timely conclusion of litigious processes.

  • Engagement with legal advisors and law enforcement agencies – assistance with the initiation of civil and/or criminal matters, facilitation of case preparation processes to ensure case readiness and progression, including evidence discovery and liaison with the National Prosecuting Authority, the South African Police Services and the Hawks.
  • Expert witness testimony – testifying in disciplinary hearings, criminal and civil matters, arbitrations, the CCMA and other forums.
  • Arbitration services and dispute resolution – acting as an independent, objective presiding officer in dispute proceedings, assisting with case preparation and evidence collation and discovery.
  • Evidence identification, preservation, preparation and presentation – identification of potential sources of information (including electronic and documentary evidence), preservation of evidence (including legal processes such as Anton Pillar applications), collation of relevant corroborating evidence and presentation of evidence in an understandable manner.
  • Asset tracing and seizure/forfeiture – identification of assets, engagement with relevant law enforcement agencies to facilitate seizure and forfeiture.
  • Loss/damage quantification services – determination and quantification of the monetary value of financial losses suffered due to financial crime and misconduct and the consideration of other damages (such as loss of goodwill and damage to reputation) incidental to financial losses.
  • Disciplinary support – preparation of evidence bundles, assistance with witness preparation, drafting of required documentation, including, strategic witness plans, closing arguments, charge sheets, acting as presiding officers to adjudicate disciplinary hearings, initiating disciplinary enquiries prior to suspension and initiation of disciplinary proceedings.
